Meet the Newest Members of the SORTEDfood Team!

We get a lot of requests asking to see more of the ‘behind the scenes’ team at SORTEDfood, so thought you would like to meet the newest members of the team, who have joined in the last few weeks!

With these new hires, it now means there are 20 of us working flat out to push us forward on our mission to empower people with the passion, knowledge, skills and tools so that they can confidently cook with whatever they have available, whilst having fun along the way.We feel incredibly fortunate to be growing the team at the moment and a lot of it is based on the success of Meal Packs. With over 200,000 meals being cooked every month using the Meal Packs app and growing quickly, there’s a massive job to do to ensure we keep up with the demand and constantly increase the range of recipes available, improve the tech that sits behind it all, and support members wherever we can.With that in mind, we’re over the moon to welcome two new senior members of the team:

‍Kush - Head of Food

‍Kush has worked as a chef in numerous Michelin-starred kitchens, a Development Chef to Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, and most recently for Atul Kochhar as Executive Sous Chef at Benares. He supported both chefs with developing recipes for their restaurant brands, cookery books and TV shows. As our Head of Food, Kush will play a key role in developing the Meal Packs offer, whilst managing a team of chefs to develop recipes for the App, Cookbooks, YouTube and all our other activities.

‍Charlie - Head of Growth

‍Charlie brings a decade of experience and knowledge in growing digital businesses, including Busuu - the online language platform, and VPar - the world’s number one golf app! As our Head of Growth, Charlie will take responsibility for new member acquisition and improving the experience for existing members, ensuring we’re supporting them wherever we can.

We’ve also brought in two new people to the Membership team to help support the influx of new members we’ve had over the last few months. Leyla is part of the Product team and will support the daily running of the Meal Packs app, uploading new content, and collating and reporting on product-based member feedback. Anna works in our Operations team and will help process membership orders, answer any member queries and analyse members’ feedback.

This is a really exciting time for SORTEDfood - we know not many companies are in a position to grow their team in the current climate, but with the momentum behind Meal Packs, there’s a real feeling that we are entering the next phase of our journey and we’re really excited to welcome Kush, Charlie, Leyla and Anna to the SORTEDfood family.
