We’ve been in the Reviewing Kitchen Gadget game for even longer than Barry’s hair is right now. Over the years, we’ve come across a fair number of kitchen gadgets with varying degrees of usefulness - so we took the plunge and asked you which one you thought was most useless.

Useless or not? YOU decided! Here’s the official countdown.

7. Mini Pizza Oven

Do YOU find pizzas are just too big for you? Luckily, this kitchen gadget provides for that very specific niche of small-scale pizzas. Just preheat your mini oven, roll out your mini dough, add your mini toppings and chuck it in! While it was funny to imagine that Ebbers was a giant, we can’t see this specific pizza oven being particularly useful - and neither could you, according to the comments.

6. Banana Surprise YumStationFirst of all, can we please talk about the name of this gadget? It doesn’t get much better than ‘Banana Surprise YumStation’. In fact, we were very grateful to this gadget for the sheer number of Benuendos it managed to deliver. And while we didn’t find it that useful for us, it might (might) be a fun way to get your kids eating more fruit. Try it yourself for £7.49.

5. Handheld Dishwasher

In the words of James Currie, “it kind of works” at washing dishes. But it also made it more stressful, more expensive and less easy than doing it by hand, which we reckon kind of defeated the point of it. And ringing in at £53.52, we had to wash our hands of this one.

4. Telescopic Pickle Fork

An old one but a good one - lots of you remembered the Pickle Fork from way back in 2016! The Telescopic Pickle Fork addresses that classic problem of trying to get a pickle out of a jar and off your fork. Essential. The issue was that it didn’t really get the pickle out of the jar and then the pickle fell straight off the fork, making this one gadget that definitely did not tickle us.

3. The Whisk Wiper

A favourite from one of our more recent videos, this proved that we haven’t got any less serious about our kitchen gadget testing. It looked like a tea towel holder, but it was so much more than that - it was a multi-functional Whisk Wiper! To be honest, it wasn’t very good at wiping a whisk, nor did it seem to have many other useful functions. It didn’t exactly whisk us off our feet.

2. S’mores Maker

This one was a close second in the Most Useless Kitchen Gadgets rankings. This handy device promised to make 2 s’mores in just 30 seconds, but without all the joy and camaraderie of a campfire. As far as we could tell, all it did was put your s’mores on a plate - and it cost £35.99. When even Barry is getting annoyed by a kitchen gadget, you know you’ve got a problem. It’s safe to say we wanted s’less of the S’mores Maker.

1. Clever Tongs

And coming in at number 1, here is the gadget that an overwhelming majority of you voted most useless. Grip it, flip it, scoop it or serve it! This 2-in-1 silicone spatula and tongs tool promised the world… and delivered basically nothing. In fact, it failed on both counts, as eggs remained unscoopable and sausages slipped from its grip. The consensus? It didn’t do anything, and at £6.98, you’d be cleverer not to buy it.
